Siam Country Club18 par 72 (7016 yards)This international standard 18-hole golf course is situated in the midst of natural beauty and terrain. The course was designed in line with nature and has some challenging and unique holes with sometimes narrow fairways. Designed by I. Izumi in 1971 the Siam is the second oldest of the post war resort courses and the first created by private enterprise and the excellent design has withstood the test of time. Four Thailand opens along with one Ladies Thailand open have been played on this course. Fairways flanked by trees have local broad bladed grass that can make the greens slow but, as a test of golf, this remains one of the best courses in the country. Best holes are the 15th and 17th, each a dogleg, where the key ingredient is water. The Siam Country Club has a golf shop, caddies, cart and golf equipment hire, shoe rental, driving range, putting green, changing facilities, swimming pool, snooker, games and fitness room, refreshment shelters on course, restaurant in clubhouse. |
