Pleasant and not too challenging flat coastal course. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. in 1992. Superb newly renovated clubhouse. The Eastern Star is a firm favourite with many golfers. The course is a well established layout and highly playable by the average golfer from the members’ tees. With fairly wide fairways the rolling, and in some places sloping land, make the course highly enjoyable with a very pleasant atmosphere. With the reversal of the order of the two nines there is quite a demanding finish, the 17th hole having what is essentially a double dogleg between two sets of bunkers being hindered by two lakes to the right and one straight ahead.
The Eastern Star has a golf shop, caddies, cart and golf equipment hire, shoe and umbrella rental, driving range, putting green, changing facilities, sauna, swimming pool, tennis courts, beach pool, fitness centre, refreshment shelters on course, bar and restaurant in the clubhouse.
